TOOLS For local governments
Local government website tools, every one included.
These are the tools that come with your community's website: agendas and minutes, documents, alerts, forms, payments, FOIA requests and more. Each one is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard in the ADA Title II rule, and your staff run them all from one editor.

Who it's for
Everything residents call you about, on your community's website.
If you run the website for a town, township, village, city or county, it's probably one of many jobs. You also post meeting notices, answer records requests, take payments at the counter and field calls about road closures. When the website can't answer those questions, the phone does.
Each tool below takes one of those calls and turns it into something residents can do on their own, any time of day. Your staff update it from the same editor they use for pages, without a developer and without a separate login for each module.
Meetings and records
Agendas, minutes, documents, ordinances and records requests: the things open meetings and public records laws are about.
Agendas & Minutes
Residents can find Tuesday's agenda, packet and video without calling you.
Calendar
Public meetings and community events on one calendar, without entering anything twice.
Document Center
Residents find the ordinance, budget or form themselves instead of asking at the front counter.
Ordinances
Residents search your ordinances by keyword instead of scrolling a list of PDFs.
FOIA Requests
Take records requests online and keep track of every Michigan FOIA deadline.
Notices and news
Tell residents what's happening, on the website and on their phones, and take it down when it's over.
News & Notices
Post a public notice in minutes, and it comes down on its own when it expires.
Alerts & Notify Me
Write a closure or water notice once. Residents get it by text, email and a banner on the website.
Services and payments
Bills, applications, reports and reservations residents can finish online instead of at the counter.
Payments
One clear Pay page for taxes, water and sewer, linked to BS&A Online.
Forms
Residents apply, sign up or file a complaint online instead of printing a PDF and bringing it in.
Request Tracker
Residents report a pothole online with a map pin and a photo, and get updates as it moves along.
Facility Reservations
Residents see what's open and request the pavilion, hall or field online.
People and jobs
Who to call, who's hiring and what you're buying, kept current in one place.
Staff Directory
Residents find who to call, and you change a phone number in one place.
Jobs
Post an opening and take applications online, with no printable PDF to hand out.
Bids & RFPs
Bid documents, addenda and results in one place, and every vendor gets each addendum as it's posted.
Finding things
Help every resident find what they came for, whatever page they land on and whatever language they read.
Site Search
One search box for pages, documents and meetings, so residents don't have to know where something lives.
Translation
Residents read your pages in Spanish and the other languages your community speaks.
Every tool included
No modules to buy later.
Every tool included, no per-module pricing.
Many vendor contracts quote agendas, alerts, FOIA and accessibility as separate modules. With us, every tool on this page comes with your community's website from the start, and your rate is locked for the length of your contract.
Questions about the tools.
Short answers about what's included and how the tools fit your office.
What tools come with a local government website?
All 16 on this page: agendas and minutes, calendar, document center, ordinances, FOIA requests, news and notices, alerts, payments, forms, a request tracker, facility reservations, a staff directory, jobs, bids and RFPs, site search and translation. See what else comes with the website on the websites page.
Do the tools cost extra?
No. Every tool included, no per-module pricing. The tools come with your community's website rather than being quoted one by one, so adding the request tracker next year doesn't mean a new line on your invoice. Your rate is locked for the length of your contract.
Are the tools built to meet ADA Title II?
Each tool is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard the ADA Title II rule sets for state and local government websites, with deadlines of April 26, 2027 and April 26, 2028 (ADA.gov (opens in a new tab)). Documents your staff upload are checked too, and the accessibility page explains how we test.
Do the tools work with BS&A?
Yes. Works with BS&A. The Payments tool gives residents one Pay page for taxes, water and sewer that links straight into BS&A Online, and BS&A keeps doing the billing it already does. Card payments on your own forms cover everything else.
Which tools help with state posting rules?
Agendas & Minutes, News & Notices, Document Center and FOIA Requests do the most work there, because state open meetings, notice and records laws usually name those documents. No tool meets a law by itself. The state guides explain what each state asks for.
Can we bring our old agendas and documents with us?
Yes. We move your pages, documents and meeting archives from your current website for you, and the tools pick them up from there. Your domain and your content stay yours, with a full export anytime.
