WEBSITES For local governments
Local government website design, every tool included.
Your residents come to the website to pay a bill, find an agenda or check a notice. A new website from us puts those up front, comes with every tool you need and is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We move your content over, meeting archives too.

What comes with your community's new website.
One site, one contract and one team to call. You don't buy any of this separately.
Designed for your community
Your residents find what they came for in a few clicks. The look is yours, not a template with your logo swapped in.
An editor your staff can use
Update pages, post notices and upload agendas yourself. No code, and no waiting on a vendor ticket.
Every tool included
Agendas, documents, alerts, forms, payments, FOIA and the rest come with the website. No per-module pricing.
Accessibility built in
Your pages and forms are built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard in the ADA Title II rule, and every page is checked again after launch.
Hosting, security and backups
Fast hosting, HTTPS, backups and software updates are handled for you, so nobody in your office has to patch a server.
Works with BS&A
Your residents get one clear Pay page that sends them straight to the right BS&A Online screen for taxes, water and sewer.
The editor
Updates that fit between your other jobs.
The website is one of many things on your desk. When updating it is a pain, pages go stale and residents call your office instead. The editor is made for a road closure at 7 a.m. and an agenda the day before a board meeting.
- Post a meeting onceAdd the agenda, packet, video and minutes to one meeting. Your calendar picks it up on its own.
- Schedule notices aheadPin a notice to the home page, set when it goes up and when it comes down.
- Uploads checked before they go liveEvery document you upload is checked for accessibility problems, with a clear note on what to fix.
- Change it onceUpdate a phone number or office hours in the staff directory and every page that shows it updates too.
Every tool included.
No add-on modules and no separate quotes. Every Muniway website comes with all of these, built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

Your contract with us vs. a typical vendor contract.
If your current vendor raises the price every year and charges extra for every module, you're not alone. Here's what changes when you work with us.
| Topic | Typical vendor contract | Your contract with us |
|---|---|---|
| Tools and modules | Agendas, alerts, FOIA, 311 and accessibility are often quoted as separate modules. | Every tool included, no per-module pricing. |
| Renewals | Yearly increases, often 3 to 5%, written into multi-year renewals. | Your rate is locked for the length of your contract. |
| Accessibility | Sold as an add-on, or covered with an overlay toolbar. | Built into the website, with monitoring and staff training. |
| PDFs | PDF fixes and conversion sold as a separate product or service. | Your agendas and documents get an accessible web version next to the original. |
| Leaving | A migration project, with archives that can be hard to get out. | No lock-in. Your domain and your content stay yours, with a full export anytime. |
Terms vary by vendor and by contract. Before your board signs with anyone, including us, ask to see these terms in writing.
From first call to launch.
You keep running the office. We do the heavy lifting, including moving years of agendas, minutes and documents off your current website.
Talk
You tell us how your office works and what residents call about most.
Design
A look that fits your community, not a template with your logo swapped in.
Move
We move your pages, documents and meeting archives. Your staff doesn't retype a thing.
Launch
Your staff gets trained on day one. After launch, we keep the website updated and checked.
State guides
See what your state requires.
What you have to post online, and how fast, depends on your state's open meetings, public records and notice laws. Each state guide covers what applies to your community's website, alongside the federal ADA Title II rule.

Short answers. Ask us anything else on a demo call.
What's included with a new local government website?
Your own design, the editor, hosting, security, backups and every tool: agendas and minutes, a document center, alerts, calendar, news and notices, forms, payments, staff directory, jobs, bids, a request tracker, FOIA requests, reservations, ordinances, translation and site search. See them all on the tools page.
How long does a new local government website take?
It depends on how much content you have and how quickly your team can review drafts. You'll get a schedule after the first call, once we've seen your current site and how many documents and meeting archives need to move.
Can you move our content from our current website vendor?
Yes. We migrate pages, documents and meeting archives for you. You don't need your current vendor's help to start, though an export from them can speed things up.
Do we keep our domain and our content?
Yes. Your domain stays registered to you, and your content belongs to you. You can ask for a full export of pages and files at any time, during the contract or after it ends.
Will our new website meet ADA Title II?
The website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard the ADA Title II rule uses, and checked again after launch. What your staff post matters too, so we train your team and check new uploads. See how accessibility works.
Do you work with BS&A Online?
Yes. If you take tax and utility payments through BS&A Online, the website gets a clear Pay page that links residents straight to the right BS&A screen. Card payments work on the website's own forms for everything else.
Who updates the website after launch, and who helps when something breaks?
Your staff update it, with our help whenever you want it. We train your team on day one and keep the software and hosting up to date. When something breaks, email us and you'll hear back from the people who built the website.
